Glancefit Privacy Policy

Glancefit is a workout timer for Google TV, Android TV, phones and tablets. It has no account and never asks who you are. This policy explains what the app keeps on your device, what it sends, and why.

What stays on your device

Your timers, circuits (including the move names you type or say), workout history and settings are stored only on the device you use. They are never uploaded.

• Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
• Settings → Your data → Reset activity history deletes your workout history at any time (your saved timers stay).
• Speech input ("Say it") uses your device's own speech recognizer. Glancefit only receives the recognized words, and they stay on the device.

What is sent, and why

To fix bugs and understand which features are used, Glancefit sends the following to Google Firebase (Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics):

• Usage events: for example, that a timer was started, its kind (interval, circuit or rest) and its length in seconds, that a setting was changed and its new value, and which screens were opened.
• Crash reports: the technical state of the app when it crashed (stack trace, device model, Android version, app version, and the screens visited before the crash).
• Device and app information that Firebase collects to do this: a random app-instance identifier, device model, Android version, language, country (from the network), app version, and approximate times of use.

This data is sent over an encrypted connection. It is not linked to your identity.

What is never sent

Glancefit does not collect or send your name, email address, contacts, precise location, the advertising ID, your timer or move names, or your workout history. The app shows no ads. Your data is not used for advertising and is not sold.

How long data is kept

Firebase processes this data under Google's terms (firebase.google.com/support/privacy). Analytics data is kept for [2 MONTHS or 14 MONTHS: the retention set in Google Analytics] and crash reports for 90 days, after which they are deleted automatically. Because this data is anonymous and not linked to you, we cannot look up or delete one person's data on request; it is deleted when its retention period ends.

Children

Glancefit is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and noted in the app's release notes.
